Welcome to the Greenville Army Air Base Historical Site

The Greenville Army Air Base was established in 1942 near Old Augusta Rd. (now Augusta Arbor Way,) Greenville, South Carolina.

The base was instrumental in training World War II bomber pilots and crews and sending them to fly combat missions in Europe. After WWII, the base sent Globemaster transports to aid the Berlin Airlift. The site is currently an industrial park (SCTAC.)
